Shop Seif was born in Port Said, a coastal city where the Mediterranean meets tradition. Founded with a passion for quality and craftsmanship, we set out to create products that honor our heritage while embracing modern design.
That city taught us something about design: that the most enduring things are the ones that don't belong to a single moment or a single place. They belong to the people who live with them.
Everything we make starts with that idea. Our wallpapers, rugs, tapestries, and fabrics are designed to live quietly in a room, not to announce themselves, but to make the room feel inevitable. Like it couldn't have been any other way.

Seif started Shop Seif because designers deserved better raw material. Pieces with a point of view, fully customizable, made precisely for the space they're going into.

Seif El-Deen Medhat
Seif Medhat is an architect who never stopped thinking about walls. Born and raised in Port Said — a city that has always been a meeting point of cultures, trade routes, and visual traditions — he came to interior design not through furniture showrooms but through a deep conviction that the surfaces of a space shape how people feel inside it.
He started Shop Seif with a single question: why did interior designers have to settle? Why was it so hard to find pieces that were genuinely considered, genuinely customizable, genuinely made with the space in mind? He started with wallpaper designs to answer that question, and built outward from there into rugs, tapestries, and fabrics — all sketched by hand, all made to order.
Port Said shows up in everything he makes. Not as a motif or a marketing angle, but as a way of seeing — the layered patterns, the threshold quality, the sense that beauty can hold more than one story at once.
We design everything ourselves. We make everything to order. We work with the people who will live with these pieces to make sure what we make is exactly right for the space it's going into. Not close. Exactly right.
That takes longer than pulling something off a shelf. We think it's worth it.
